You Won’t Find Someday On Your Calendar
"Someday is not a day of the week."

“Someday I
will do that.” “Someday I am going to
achieve my dreams and have the life I always wanted.” “Someday soon I will get started on that
project.” How many times have you said,
or heard said the most meaningless of all words…”Someday”? I mean, just when is someday? It is not listed as one of the seven days of
the week. I have never seen it listed as
a holiday in any country of the world.
No one has ever reached it to mark it down on their calendar. And yet so many people put all their hopes
and dreams on its attainment.
Let me just cut to the chase
here. Someday never comes. Why?
Because someday does not exist.
There has never been nor will there ever be a someday. You can look back on yesterday; you can look
forward to tomorrow, but you can only live in the present. Success-minded people know that there are
only these three options they can choose from.
Of these three, they will always look to the present for it is the only
one that really can make a difference.
Success only happens when action
is taken to achieve the goals set before us.
Nothing happens without action.
You cannot take action someday.
It must be done today or it will never happen at all. The action you took yesterday is gone now and
you can build on it, but you cannot claim it for today. The action you will take tomorrow is
important, however you cannot add it to today’s schedule of events. The only action that matters is the action
taken right now, today.
Do not make the mistake of
planning on a someday experience. Do not
put your dreams in a someday that will never come. Live in the now, today, the present. You can do anything and achieve any goal as
long as you take decisive and consistent action in the present. Someday is only a wish and wishes are made of
smoke and soon blow away never to be seem again.
