You Must REALLY Believe
Success-minded people
must answer this question: “What is your life going to be like?” A simple
positive confession answer of “Great!” will not do. You must know and believe
in how you intend to live. This is not some ESP prediction of the future; it is
belief. If you do not believe in your destiny, it will not happen. You must
have faith that God will work in your life to help you fulfill your purpose. As
economist Ben Stein put it, “Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing
that God will.”
Success-minded people
are great at setting goals and working toward their dreams. Where they can fall
short is when they face the obstacles that life always brings. When we face
these roadblocks, we start to wonder if we will ever achieve our dream. Maybe
we will do our best but fall just short of the goal? This kind of thinking
slows us down and causes doubt and defeat. The success-minded person must not
allow this to happen.
“The thing always
happens that you really believe in, and the belief in a thing makes it happen.”
Frank Lloyd Wright
1867-1959
Architect
Speaker and author
of, The Power of Positive Thinking, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, said, “Don’t go
crawling through life on your hands and knees half-defeated. Stand up to your
obstacles and do something about them. You will find they haven’t half the
strength you think they have.” Always remember that the key to victory is
taking action. Do not surrender to your problems, no matter how big they seem
to be. Stand up and do something. Fight back. Take the victory that God has
given you. Read Romans 8 and believe they are more than a conqueror in Christ.
Success-minded people
must understand that talking and debating are not useful in fighting for
victory in life. Do you believe in your dream? Do you believe that you have a
God-given purpose that is yours to fulfill? Scottish philosopher Thomas Carlyle
said, “A man lives by believing something: not by debating and arguing about
many things.” Do not allow the enemy of your soul to distract you or take your
eyes off the prize.
Believe in God.
Believe in yourself. Believe in your dream. Believe in your purpose. Believe
that you can overcome any difficulty and problem because the God of the
universe has made way for you. If He is for us, who can be against us? You can
do this; I know you can because I believe that God can, and I believe in you.
“The hope of the
righteous is gladness, but the expectation of the wicked perishes.”
Proverbs 10:28
