FIGHTING TO BE GREAT
"Great spirits
have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."
- Albert Einstein
(1879-1955)
Physicist
At one time, America was known as the
land of opportunity. People would come
here from all over the world to make their fortunes and build their dreams in freedom
and safety. Today, although people still
come from all over the world to be here, it is not as common for them to build
a dream from the ground up. Today people
look for the free stuff and to have people – mainly our government – take care
of them. Even those who have been born
and raised in this great land are told daily that your dreams are unreal,
impossible and against the rules.
It
is a strange thing that as we look through history of this nation, the days
when we had no welfare, no government programs and fewer rules we were bursting
with innovation, new discoveries and businesses that last to this day. The more “help” we got for the government the
less productive we became as a people.
What was disguised as a helping hand turned out to be restraining us
from our own success.
This
time of restriction, regulations, and oppression can be frustrating and
discouraging, but for the success-minded person it is nothing more than a hindrance;
never a road block. Success-minded
people are those who have a dream and they will allow nothing, not the naysayers,
not the government, not the negative forces of this world to stop them. They may not always know the way, but they do
know there is a way and they will find it.
A
people who have lost their dreams and have become discouraged are a people who
are easy to control. Never think that
just because you live in America (still the greatest nation in history) you
will not find oppression and tyrants. They
are here and they do not want people to be successful or to be free from their
control.
There
have always been and always will be those who fight against the success of
others. There has always been and always
will be those who will succeed in spite of those efforts. Never allow anyone, no matter how powerful
they may seem to rob you of your dream.
Freedom and liberty are the property of the success-minded. A people who have a dream and a passion to be
all they can be will never be stopped.
May that be you my friends.
