Energy Crisis
When you start to
talk about health, you begin to step on many toes, including your own. Good
health is one of those areas that we can all agree that the other guy needs.
When it comes to ourselves, it can be a different story. Giving up unhealthy
habits, losing weight, eating right, and exercise are dangerous grounds, but we
will cross them all the same.
Tony Robbins calls energy “the
fuel of success.” You do not want to be driving down the road of success and
run out of gas. The success-minded person must understand that health is the
key to achieving their dreams. We have talked many times that success in any
area is hard work; you cannot do the job if your energy level is at a low.
“The higher your
energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body,
the better you feel
and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.”

Health expert A.J. Reb Materi said, “So many people spend their health
gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health.”
That is so true. The sad part is that keeping your health is not that difficult
a thing. Success-minded people must learn to put as much commitment to their
health as they do their dream.
Find a proper diet and exercise plan. So which ones work? All of them.
That’s right, all of them. The trick is not finding a program; it is finding a
plan you will follow. We are all different, so we all approach to diet and
exercise differently. Find something that works for you and stay with it. If it
is too complicated to follow, toss it and find another. There are many to
choose from.
There are a few universal rules to follow that in themselves will bring
better health to you.
1)
Eat right: Do not overeat anything. Get rid of
the junk foods. Eat more fruits and veggies. Cut down on the snacks.
2)
Exercise:
This can be just a walk every day. That is a benefit in more ways than just for
weight loss. Walking can help you think, is excellent for your heart and lungs,
and can be a nice break in the day.
3)
Rest:
Get some good rest every day. If possible, listen to your clock. Are you a
morning person? Get up early and go to bed early. Are you an evening person?
Stay up later and get up later. If you can, try to fit into your schedule.
“Do you not know that
you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
If any man destroys
the temple of God, God will destroy him,
for the temple of God is holy, and that is
what you are.”
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
