Setting Personal Development Goals
The following article is from the
book, Getting Personal: All You Have is
Now: How Your Approach to the World Determines Your Destiny by author and
speaker, John Patrick Hickey. To read

These
goals are designed to help you to develop as a success- minded person.
Just as a successful business must have a good business plan, you, too, need a good
success plan. How will you grow and learn? What books will you read? What is
your plan for nourishing your inner self? Philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
said,
“One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem,
see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable
words.”
Your
personal development is far too important to leave to chance. You need to
know what you want and what you need to do to achieve it. Some ideas you may
want to look at are:
•
Learn a language
•
Follow a course of study
•
Get a degree
•
Improve your vocabulary
•
Learn a new skill
•
Improve your manners or change your behavior
John Dryden said, “We first
make our habits, and then our habits make us.”
Personal development and the achievement of your dream will not happen on
its own. It takes action and that action has to happen now. Click on the Free
