No Easy Path To Success

There is more to success than making money.  Yes, wealth is a reward of success, but to be truly successful, money is really the least of the rewards. Success-minded people know that true success encompasses their whole life.  It allows us not just to have what we want, but to be who we are.  Success shows itself in our business, family, spiritual life and relationships. 

                The thing to remember is that when you look at success from just one angle, let's say wealth, then you miss out on what it truly holds for you.  This is why we so often see those who what gained wealth misuse their money, and destroy their lives. 

                There is a price to be paid for true success.  It is hard work and there is never and exception to the rule.  The idea of an overnight success is a false one.  Oh, people have become rich quickly, but not successful.  For those who would be successful, there are some areas in life that they must give attention to.

Character

                To be a person of character does not happen by accident.  We must work on our character to be the best person we can be.  Character is integrity, kindness and honor.  People of character will do the right thing because it is the right thing to do.  Success-minded people deliberately focus on their character and behavior so that they will become a successful person.

Work

                There is no substitute for hard work.  When you are working just to get rich or for the rewards it brings, work is a difficult and tedious thing.  However, when you are achieving your dreams, the work is hard but it is the very thing you love to do.  There is no greater sense of fulfillment than to know you have achieved your goals because you did what was needed to get there.

Relationships

                We need other people.  Only the fool says they can do it alone.  Author and speaker, Jim Rohn had it right when he said, "You cannot succeed by yourself.  It's hard to find a rich hermit."  Successful people are those with rich and lasting relationships.  They are a good and loyal friend to others.  They treat their family with love, respect and kindness.  Relationships, like work, are hard and need constant attention, however, it is an investment that makes all other successes pail in comparison.

Wealth

                Wealth is far more than the accumulation of money and things.  We all desire to live well and to not have to worry about our bills and having the funds to do the pleasures in life.  However, true wealth is far more.  It is having the ability to give and to enrich the lives of others.  It is knowing that you have the resources to make a difference.

                Success is not an easy thing to obtain.  It takes work and it takes effort, but it is also the best thing going.  Success-minded people do not see the price for success as something to run from but run toward.  It is paid gladly and the price is worth the prize.
