Four Things You Were Never Meant To Do

No one will argue that there are times when life can be hard.  We all struggle with unexpected events and things do not always work out as planned.  However, for some people, life can be really hard all the time.  They just do not seem to get away from sadness, poverty or trouble.  The fact is, and this is the unpopular part, for most it is a life they have created for themselves.

Oh, I know the argument that people do not choose poverty or that they are victims of society, the economy or some other imaginary dragon.  I agree that some have fallen on hard times, but those people are working to not stay there.  It is the person who believes they are a victim to life, that refuse to take responsibility for themselves and that settle in to living off the work of others that create the life they live.

We were never created to be victims of life.  Each and every human on the planet is given the ability to become great in some way.  Each of us bring to the world we live in gifts and talents that cannot just help us but help our world in general.  I would like to look at four things that you - no matter who you are - were never meant to do in life.

1)  You were never meant to stand still
The problem with the lives of some is not that they face struggles but that they do nothing to change it.  Despite what we are told by those who would like to keep the down trodden down, there are jobs to be had.  Good jobs that people can live with.  They will take hard work and may require training, long hours or relocation, but they are there.  You were never created to just stand by and watch life pass you by.

2)  You were never meant to live off others
The greatest harm this country has caused on its people is that of the welfare state.  We have developed a group of people who feel that it is perfectly okay to live off the work of others and not give anything back.  I know there are some who really need our help and I will be the first to offer it, but the majority are not in that number.  It is degrading, de-motivating and insulting to make it so people can not have the satisfaction of caring for themselves.

3)  You were never meant to hide your gifts and talents
Every person born has gifts and talents they can offer to the betterment of others.  When we fall into the victim mentality we hide those gifts and do not use them.  When you see people begin to discover and use their gifts and talents you see them come alive.  Their lives change for the better and they begin to be independent, self-reliant and giving.  That is because the use of our gifts is the very thing that give us life and purpose.

4)  You were never meant to waste your life
Life is a precious gift and to waste it is a crime of the highest order.  You were created for a purpose and it is your responsibility to discover that purpose and fulfill it.  Never surrender your life to others who will use you as a pawn in their games of control.  Be who you were created to be.  Stand strong, give your all and rise above the struggles of life.  You, my friend, were created for greatness.
